Hi Emma Jane

I live near Launceston but work in Bude.

At home the beach (and work) is about 25 mins away depending on traffic and at work it is about 2.5 mins away at the bottom of the hill. :)

I am really very lucky!

Ooo Sam, been to Bude more times than I care to remember.  Old school chums folks had a bungalow there plus my family are from Bideford and Barnstaple, so only a short drive away.  Okay, pining for a holiday home now,

Emma Jane - I know them both well  :) my mum and dad used to live near Instow!

Believe me Bude is really busy at the moment and not much fun because it is raining :(

I feel very sorry for the families on their Hols when it is like this but I tell them to go to the Eden Project which is fab but can become v v stuffy when it is hot outside.

Well worth a day out if you are in the area.

Done the Eden thing tooo many times now.  The kids love it but we prefer to go out of season.  Instow is our fave sitting on the front scoffing a Hockings ice cream, well there or Bideford quay.  Rights, that's it, haven't been down to see the folks for 3 months so I can feel a trip coming on!

Another Hockings lover huh!  Do you know, I don't bother to eat ice cream because there is nothing in this world, in my opinion, as a Hockings!  ;D

Hi DocAlgae

I know where you are :) I was looking at lottie sites on the internet at the weekend and found a cambridge allotments site. I used to live in Newmarket road when I was younger for a time before I moved to Soham and remembered the lotties there but I see that they are now ear marked for housing :(

Hiya Pixie - well, the lottie is a fifteen or so minute drive from where I actually live, as my home town has a 112 year waiting list ::), and I figured in 112 years I won't be up to much!  I found the Duxford one through the Cambridge allotments site! ;D

Not too far away, In Haywards Heath. I am on a council owned allotment that is run/managed by our own society. About the same size at 60 or so plots.

my in is in bath like Minerva, it would have been closer to my flat if I had got one near the cresent like her but alas there was a waiting list.

Not to say that I don't like my new one at monksdale road, excellent view over the whole of Bath.

I'm at Whitemoor in Nottingham. It's an Association run Council owned site with 135 plots approx 600 sq yds each. We've got water and pretty good soil ( albeit a bit sandy). Mare's Tail is a problem at one end of the site and club root is at the same end. We also have a pretty good shop ( I would say that- I run it lol )
