Well a bit back we had global warming and every one was so worried that the local councils were obliged to get us to segregate our waste so that everything was recycled.

Since we got our variety of coloured wheely bins and our disposable waste has been segregated.

It has got colder. Not just a bit but a lot.

BAN THIS RECYCLING and let's return to global warming.

Oh no - you mean your bins made it snow?! Would it help if you covered them or would you need to actually destroy them to restore the natural balance?  ;)

It is a terrible dilemma. They took all our old dustbins and destroyed them which means we can never return to the way things were.

2010 warmest year in quite a long time.....

and one of the effect was the slowing of the system that protects us from siberian winds.

More snow here OH will have to walk to work today.
A space? I need more plants......more plants? I need some space!!!!

SE London at a complete standstill.  Why do people even try to drive in this (must be a foot of snow) when the cars are just not capable..
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

Only a couple of centemetres in Northampton, we usually get away with not too much snow. Having said that its snowing now, doubt it will be much thankfully.

Hubbly and daughter are long distance truck drivers, they have had no problems so far. But seen plenty of the white stuff.
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Had at least a foot of the stuff here in Leeds yesterday.

Beloved husband made me buy a BMW which is stuck in the car port, I'm not even attempting to get it out until the drive's cleared! Buying front wheel drive car next time  ::)

Buggy not designed for deep snow either so we're pretty stuck. More forecast for today & tonight, but no sign of it yet thankfully.

Think I must be officially old now as my neighbour has been over & cleared my path & asked if I need any shopping.
People are nice!

My neighbours are lovely too - cleared a path, walked to the shops and picked up a prescription for me. Couldn't get a loaf, though - Co-op and baker both sold out. They came home very cheerful and positively glowing - (went into the pub for a couple of warmers while my prescription was being done!!!)

We've had about 8'' - (a lot more to shout about than our Kev's ½''!) - that's more than we had last winter.

Here's a snap of my birdbath!

Ohhh..this is getting ridiculous now >:(..I've quite had enough snow >:( I had to dig path into lottie to get to clear foot of snow off from greenhouses and tunnel..before they collapse under all that weight.
I was standing up to my waist in snow when it came down from roof :o
It is not funny anymore and and it is snowing more as I type >:(
Looks like I'm having to do a photo session again to get it all 'on film'..

Know what to get next time then  ;D

Keep having to explain to people that just because it's big & heavy doesn't mean it's good in snow. The whole rear wheel drive thing just baffles most people.

I'm just loving being on mat leave! Had to go into work last time it was like this. Took forever in the car, with several brown trouser moments, and then had to spend 8 hours in an unheated shed. Plus they never clear the drive early enough so have a mile and a bit of untreated road to negotiate and then have to try & get out of the car park. People who think gardening is all glamorous like on the telly should give it a go at this time of year!
