sorry beetroot question

Sorry about this folks.

How do you pickle beetroot.
I remember me nan doing it and her saying you tear the leaves but leave some stalk otherwise they will bleed.
Thats all i remember.
I love beetroot so could someone be ever so kind and explain it to me.

we twist off the leaves before cooking, hope this helps  :)

how long do you cook for just till soft what kind of vinegar

Adam try cooking the beetroot in the oven in a baking tray half filled with water and covered with tin foil. They are much sweeter that way and you can stick a fork in to the to see if they are soft enough, about 40 mins at 180.

The vinegar you use is white vinegar.
