well guys im back!! the good life!! after changing my email 3 times and forgetting my pass word n stuff, ive done the easy thing and re registerd!! Smiley , i have alot to catch up with!! for those of you thinking whos this nutter! im the one who built his own poly tunnel from wood and plastic conduit!! and is still going strong Grin

Hiya, how's the poly?


Well guys the poly is going great i heated it up this year and added lights and had tom,s, cucumbers & chillis, all salads and even potatos all winter Cheesy. The solar panels i aquired  Wink Lips Sealed & batterys have worked fantasticly

This year going for the whole hog!! beets,turnip etc, but i will be moving soon too as the lottie im at the soil is well and truely knackard!! and the rats seem to beat me to the veg!! the beggers. the only thing i will have to take is me poly! and me asparagus & strawberrys,

I seem to remember Dick Strawbridge doing something like that.....

Or was it a heat sink with broken glass powered by a solar panel?

  He had a heat sink with broken glass.  I kept thinking of some poor person trying to dig it all out at a later date.    He was using the excess heat during the day to store. 

I also you like to see a pic of a solar panel on poly.  I have a greenhouse, still in boxes, and would like to heat it cheaply during the winter.

Have we met goodlife? think you gave me some chilli plants last year, nice to see you on here again, i don't post as much but still take a look now and again. Thinking of a poly tunnel my self next year, just got rid of my chooks so a fair bit of land for something. I might pick your brain if thats ok. Neil
