At the risk of boring you all senseless, Scarecrows Smith is on Facebook now and he needs some friends.  Just put Scarecrows Smith in the search box and he'll come up.

As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

Scarecrows Smith is delighted that so many of you have become his friends.  He doesn't know who most of you are, but I've told him you are a nice friendly bunch and are all interested in reading seed catalogues like he is.

With my own Facebook account, all my friends are people I actually know but with Scarecrows Smith I am inviting friends of friends to be his friend.  I know it's a bit mad, and that I should get a life, but who cares..... Grin Grin

Twitter is the latest craze.  I think it is a sort of micro blog.   Its the latest thing young people do.  They do on line on their mobile phones and do it.    Hopefully there is someone more switched on who can give you a better description.
