I am pondering ideas for our wedding. Something that springs to mind is to have a mini terracotta pot as a wedding favour for each guest to take home since we are having a gardening type theme. The wedding is end July. Any ideas for a suitable plant? Somethng that I could easily grow from seed or cuttings and will look good on the table, but people are able to take away and pot up at home.

We are talking about 1.5 inch diameter mini pots.

What about Thyme. Can be used year after year, produces lovely flowers to attract bees. Nice and compact.  Thats if you want to go on the veggie side of things  Undecided  Could also be used as a play on words .... time (thyme) to be together, spending time together  etc. etc.

I like lemon geraniums, lovely lemony smell when bruised leaves.

Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

What a lovely idea.
I think herbs would be good as the are all symbolic and have been used traditionally for weddings. mint for virtue, myrtle for love, rosemary for remembrance, marjoram for blushes (don't know what that's all about!)
