I'm moving my pallet compost bins and when I flipped one over today I found this burrowed into the wood.  It had eaten it's way in as there was a little trail of sawdust on the surface.  When I prised it out there was a tiny white thread protruding from the pointy end.  It's hard-bodied, not squidgy.  Anyone know what it is please?

If I find them near nettles or brambles or the compost heap then I leave them. If I find them in the soil where I want to grow things, the chickens get them...
