Although we live in a town, we get lots of hedgehogs in our garden.  They were still visiting during the first week of December last - and we saw one yesterday evening - 25 January - eating  from the cats dish.  It's been quite a mild winter here in East Anglia this year.  According to a hedgehog website, they do sometimes wake up from hibernation and feed in mild spells and then hibernate again when it turns cold.

Lovely pics Carol.  I see a hedgehog occasionally but now I come to think of it not as often as I used to.  I didn't know they were in danger of dying out, that is very very sad.

Carol, what lovely pictures, you are lucky  Smiley I've never seen any in my garden, would love to though. I didn't know they were in such trouble, how sad. I did email McDonalds re their stupid McFlurry lids as requested on the web somewhere, but I didn't know we're in danger of losing them  Cry

3 dead ones in our garden in the last month.

We normally hear them snuffling down the village road.
