Oh heck - that's a bit close for comfort Emma! (you're not that far away from me, but I'm sure there's a pretty big difference meterologically between rural Essex and East London (work) or Greater East London (home).)

(Although secretly I am hoping we get some, but not til monday and then it has to be enough to stop the tubes running so i can't go to work, otherwise it'll just make it harder to commute!)

Don't worry Aqui, it stopped!  Lasted about 30 minutes though, right when the kids were out at lunch playtime so I bet they were all thrilled!!

Derek, you old misery you!  Wink Wink Wink Wink  I know you don't mean it...just think, snowball fights, building snowmen, and you could try out your new improved skating skills on the local frozen pond!!!!!  Grin Grin Grin

Blue sky here, with strips of red and orange. It looks like a very cold night ...

The Pennines seem to protect us here is Yorkshire.  Just clear blue sky, lovely and sunny today, bit nippy though!

I hear Bodmin Moor is bad, people stranded due to accident.

It's a bit late now but I'll call my mother tomorrow and check that one. No snow in Birmingham but it's been freezing all day.

Nan and Grandad are about 25 minutes from the border of Cornwall, and they have thick thick snow!  My auntie lives in a little village called Westleigh, close to Instow beach, and she is snowed in!  The village is cut off!!  No more snow in Essex this afternoon but BOY WAS IT COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jolly cold here tonight....

Late dinner as we went to pick up my cousin's husband from the station after his week of London meetings. He's staying for the weekend.

Warm inside (only) and thank heavens for Jeff as it's 40 degrees back home in Oz!

Cuddle up! CLx

I just spoke to my mother, she's on south Cornwall halfway between St. Austell and Truro. She said it's been total chaos on the roads, and the train from Plymouth got stuck last night, but they're OK, with about a foot of snow.

Not bad here in Leeds either.  Cloudy, a very slight drizzle, didn't last long, mild too.  Long may it continue.

I'm with you Derek, no snow please, mostly because of the trouble it causes so many people.

Well, just come in for a spot of lunch and had a cold but productive morning in the garden.  Thick mulch over dahlias of spent compost, wrapped the bananas up with net curtains and stuffed loosely with straw and covered the gunnera with conifer trimmings, so they should all be cosy during the long cold winter.  Now, back out to rake up the leaves, put the last of the pots away, stash all the kids toys in their playhouse and  and generally tidy the borders.  BBBRRR
