My Anniversary.

Today, 12 March is exactly one year to the day since I got my plots.

I spent the day over there today, I know it was a tad windy... Well, two or three tads maybe but I couldn't not go, we had to spend the day together on our first anniversary.

The calendar said it was a fruit day in the morning and then a root day after 12 mid day so I though I'd put some peas in and some Charlotte second earlies.

Peas were fine, put them in in the morning but got carried away and planted one row of spuds at 11:30, technically during the fruit period and before the root period started. I certainly wasn't going to dig them all up, wait half hour and then plant them again so I left them and sat in shed for half hour with a cuppa. After 12:00 I planted the second row which was during the root period of the day.

Should be interesting to see if half hour makes any difference or if being "In tune with the moon" is a load of twaddle.

I do try to stick the the calendar if possible but I don't always want to wait until next Tuesday fortnight for a full half twist with pike on a waxing root day moon just to plant a few carrots.
