I've just found a big box of mixed daff bulbs that didn't get planted in containers in the autumn. (Heaven knows how I managed to miss them  ???) They're all sprouting, bless them. Do you think it's worth bunging them in pots now? And if so, should I bury them completely or leave some of the little green bits sticking out? Thanks very much. x

I've done this before too. I planted them as you say with a little bit showing through and they were fine. Seems a shame to chuck them so give them a go!!
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

Daffodil bulbs are almost hard to kill, if you plant them now I would suggest that you pick off the flowers to conserve some energy and allow them to form roots ready to build the bulbs up for the next years flowering. They may suffer even then but left in they should give you many years of blooms after that.
