I went to the Doctors today, we had a lovely chat about potatoe's, I was telling him how excited I was over pulling out a handfull of first earlies, like marbles they were, but delish. he went on to ask if I cooked the leaves  ??? Uh! Uh! I was told not to eat anything green above ground as it is poisonous :o he said my wife thought that too, but it is quite safe to eat and has more flavour than Spinnach.

Anyone tried it? before I take my life in hand? sounds better than composting. 8)

Can't for the life of me remember why I went to the docs in the first place. ;D

Don't eat anything green from a potato; itis poisonous. Sweet potato leaves, on the other hand, are nice cooked like spinach.

Having trawled the internet for information, there is nothing definitive about the toxicity of potato foliage for humans - strangley there's lots on what is and isn't safe for pets and livestock !?!?
