coat hangers

There is an article in this month's (July) Kitchen Garden suggesting the use of cut up wire coat hangers to use as pegs to keep down fleeces etc. Just to say that I have tried this on my enviromesh and they (so far) work a treat.

well if you look at those not so cheap cloches you buy from the shops they are only plastic with a thin metal running through, if you had a sewing machine you could sew them up for yourself and save lots of cash.

Ah problem.... the reason why I never get down to the bottom of the ironing pile is that I don't have enough hangers in the first place.  ;)

Quite right gunnerbee.  Having been forking out (scuse the pun!) for lots of stuff for the lottie was to tight to pay for cloches.  Coat hangers and plastic from our new bed did wonders!
Neil (The Young Ones) once said "You plant the seed, the seed grows, you harvest the seed....You plant the seed....."   if only it was that simple!!!
