Threatening clouds at about midday.

My favourite pic. Almost looks painted and like the sea. Could imagine a ghostly tallship coming out of that somewhere.

Funnily enough Dibber we only got some random big drops.  The clouds were blowing out to sea. On the last pic you can just about see the blue sky down the left side as the clouds moved on by. It was one of those eery times when the sky goes dark in the middle of the day. I love it. It has that luminous effect sometimes.

Heldi u would have thought u would have had a big down pour with clouds like that

HI Heldi, We've had clouds like that with that lovely purple hue that makes green things look so good - but not a drop of rain for ages.   We got peed on just 30kms north last week but none here then or since or for a long time before.  I can see it going by on the horizon sometimes.  Very frustrating.  Not looking forward to our next water bill.  Had to sprinkle for ages 'cos of all the new stuff we've planted.

We all decamped to indoors expecting a downpour that day but nothing happened.  I suppose it let loose over the sea.  We had plenty rain the very next day but the clouds weren't as dramatic.

This was our sky yesterday - and I am not too far south of you.

Pah!  That's all we can see in West Essex today LOL.  Grey skies.  This weather doesn't know if it's coming or going!
