My neighbour has an aluminium water tub, size over a meter and height about 45 cm. She wants to make a mini pond.
Any advice if that is possible?

Im my book ( thanks Dibber) theres are ponds of all shapes and sizes and this sounds just like what I saw. Not sure if aluminium is ok or not ( someone will know) but sizewise its fine for plants.

What do you want to know in partic Cosmos?
A friend is someone who thinks you are a good egg,
even though you are slightly cracked.

Because it is aluminium I don't know.  I have no experience with such little thin gs. But aluminium.... She tried last year, end of the summer, filled the tub with water, and after a few weeks put some plants inand soon the whole tub and plants became red.......  chemical reaction between aluminium and plants, I wonder???>

Hi there,

Are you sure the  tub is aluminium and not tin?

If it is tin then it will rust and finally a hole will appear. This might be the reason why the water turned red. >:(
