Should I pinch out the growing tip of my chili plants, to get them to bush up, or just leave them to grow normally?

I never bother doing this with chilli peppers.  Judging by the harvest I got last year, it doesn't matter much.  Then again, I did have 8 plants, and by September more chillies than you could shake a stick at.  ;D 

It occurred to me only yesterday that we have not had to buy a single shop-bought chillie since.  I still have a bag in the freezer!

Let them grow,and remember,some varieties grow tall so support may be needed.

Thank you for the advice. I have grown them before but just wondered if pinching out was a way of getting more chilis on the plants!  :)
