We have been picking most days, and gave a handful to next door today, but being in the garden they are watered each evening which helps.

I'm growing Cobra and Moonlight in a raised bed this year rather than the containers I've favoured for years.  What a difference! From 8 plants of each I've already frozen more than enough for the winter and am giving four of my neighbours an ongoing supply from daily pickings. From now on though, it will be a case of 'pick your own ' for them as the plants have grown so tall. I'm too old to be climbing ladders - dangerous too with my poor balance and mobility problems. :sad10:

No, straight into ziploc bags, squeeze out as much air as possible and into the freezer.  To use,  I add them to boiling, salted water and microwave them for 4 - 5  minutes (one largish portion). Lovely.  :happy7:

I have watered and fed regularly because I am at the allotment every day so not sure what the problems is apart from slugs so I have told myself no beans this year and I usually have loads but potatoes and everything else are doing well so I cant complain
