Allotments 4 All

today was  a fantastic day here on the sunshine coast however next week looks bad   so its the beauty and the beast from the east

You have a bit of snow on the ground, we only had a couple of flakes, but a very cold night.

And 3" of snow!!

yes yorkshire lass here on the sunshine coast snow is a rare thing its been 5 years since the last significant snow however my 10 year old daughter is having a ball school closed and loads of snow a memory for life a think

We have had no snow settled at all here.   There were a few flakes flying around yesterday morning for about 5 minutes and that was it.   Bright and sunny here at the moment but bitterly cold.

A good lot of snow here in Barnsley today had a respite this afternoon now it is snowing again so still cant do anything on the allotment I usually put some clear plastic down to warm the soil have not even done that

I spoke a bit too soon - woke up this morning to a couple of inches of snow.   The morning passed with no more until this afternoon and it has really snowed very heavily.

went to the plots this morning snow 2ft deep in places no damage to any structures despite the wind  not sure about my apricot or dahlias only time will tell the apricot buds looked ok on inspection  however the next few weeks will tell if any damage was sustained to the blossom will seed some dahlias to fill any gaps
