Hi All,

This might have been asked but I'm a newbie to the allotment game -

Comfrey, are all varieties the same or does 1 stand out ?

And is there a way to identify comfrey ? I think I might have some in the garden which I thought was weed 

Hi Bocking 14 is the universally accepted best variety as it doesn't spread like a weed. The leaves are pointed and hairy (they are just starting to point their way through the soil now, in Worksop at least) and can cause irritation if handled too much.

Does your "weed" look like these?
