I have some gooseberries in pots (the yield has been poor this year but better than last year).
One of the plants has got some red leaves, any ideas what is causing this?  It does not look like a disease and I guess it is missing some nutrient.

I've got a couple in pots I haven't got around to planting out and their leaves are look similar to your description. I'm thinking the same as you although watering may also be to blame in my case. I also suspect possible vine weevil?

Maybe but only one plant has the problem.  They have been attacked by sawfly a lot although on most of the plants I am doing ok with keeping them in check.  Saying that I may have to look for an organic solution for next year.
