They reckon the shopping centres will be busy today, so we are out to entertain with all the local Morris dancing sides and then see if we can drink the pub dry.

Sounds good to me. Thinking of moving to the Isle of Wight next year, a bit fed up with sunny Enfield.

better than some dodgy foreign blokes belting out "Cavatina" on the pan pipes

Surely a pint or three shouldn't hurt. Purely medicinal mind ya.

Enjoy - but just remember where all that "medicinal" has got you!   Don't overdo it.

I like watching Morris dancers and listening to the accompanying music.  A good English tradition being kept alive.  Well done for playing your squeeze box Ace, especially in this cold weather and when you are still poorly.

 :icon_cheers: BRILLIANT! :icon_cheers:

Is that chap wearing green sheep's fleece on him? Green man interpretation?

Oh I wish we would have morris dancers around here....haven't seen them for yeeeeears! There was a group that I did see in Sutton few times in my earlier years in UK...it was wonderful way of getting used to living here..all those local traditions etc.. :drunken_smilie: :toothy10:

Marvellous, well done you  :happy7:

We used to have a local group that went round the pubs and fêtes in mid summer, never saw them for the rest of the year. I've not seen them around for a few years, shame. I don't think there is much tradition of them around here though.
