Anyone else been inundated with earwigs! They seem to be everywhere here having a good old chomp of flowers and leaf buds. I'm also finding them in the chicken food, eating my sweet corn, in pots, containers and in or under everything imaginable, I even found one in the sugar bowl in the house eww!

Fished a load of the little dears out of the water butt - they were "nesting" in the hose and got flushed out when I filled it up.

They do seem to like the dry weather.

I have had a problem with earwigs in my cabbages - whole families..........yuk.
I've been advised to place damp cereal boxes and toilet roll tubes (taped at one end) down in between by cabbages. Apparently earwigs like damp conditions so hopefully they will move into their new cardboard homes and I can just lift and dispose. It's worth giving it a go.

Thanks for the tip  :happy7:
Good luck getting them out of your cabbages.
