black beatle in the broad beans

Hi, I have found a black beatle in some broad beans, and it has quite desimated the leaves, and left a white shadow on them. Is it the Bean Weevil? What is the best way to deal with them and stop them investing the rest of the crops. Thanks if you can help. busy_lizzie

Just to clarify: it's not the same as the little black things that you get at the top few leaves of broad beans where you can, by this time of year, just remove the problem by removing the said top few leaves, is it?
