Allotments 4 All

I buy brown seed envelopes to store my seeds in....just like the wilko's ones but blank. They are not expensive but like PL said...they need little bit of cellotape on corners for smaller seeds.
Zip lock bags that I send my seeds in for circle are not expensive neither...not ideal for long term storage, but they are lighter and take less room for posting.

I fold my own.  Easy to do - a few at a time.  I prefer paper, just in case of any residual dampness.

This comment stayed in my head when I was tidying up desk draws...and then I saw some pink paper that I had forgotten...
And now I've got one lot of seed envelopes  ready for circle's next 'call out'..PINK!
And they are looking very cheery from normal brown or clear plastic ones....must do more and different colours too..hmmm...I must dig deeper, who knows what I have stashed away...

I do the origami packets, but I use ziplock bags as well for small seeds. They're really cheap on ebay.

I'm getting there slowly. I've parcelled up two peas so far; Robinson, which is a tall wrinkled pea, and Mummy White, a very rare one. It seems to have been popular around the 1820's, and then effectively disappeared. It survived in the States, and I managed to get some seed from there last year. It's a crown pea, with white flowers and small round peas. Then there's Munchen Bier, a rat-tailed radish, and I should be able to manage one or two more peas.

I don't have access to the seed swap page, by the way, so at the moment I can't add anything to it.

I'm really keen to grow your Mummy Crown peas  I was hooked on Crown peas the first time I grew Salmon Flowered.
I should have several types/colours of Crown peas this year to compare

Ok...I'll wait patiently..... I try not to look at the seed list in advance...it is much more interesting to "ohh & ahh" all the goodies when they arrive. My tummy is tingling with the excitement already!

Jayb, I'm sorry to create extra work for you, but is there any chance you could fix the two links I tried to put in for the two tomato varieties yabloki na snegu and sibirskiy skorospelyi?  They are in as plain text - when I tried inserting links I couldn't get it to work.

I've added Latvian Pea. We're getting there!

What a coincidence; I was just thinking that now I live on the Isle of Wight, I really should try the local bean, 'Brighstone'. An internet search reveals that no-one is selling it in the UK this year. Drat. Then I find out that it is going to be in the seed parcel. Yayyy! Thank you Pumpkinlover.

 
Robert's and Ruud's parcel both arrived and have been sorted into individual parcels.
