Allotments 4 All

Not sure what the Vanilla is for but anyway.... I was going to purchase one of these today as a Christmas pressie for someone but I spotted something in the small print which I wasn't sure about.  On the front of the card it said there's a £3.95 purchase fee (what a cheek!) but also on the back it said 'card activation fee', also £3.95.  I asked the cashier if that meant the card has two charges before even being used but she wasn't sure either.  Wondered if anybody had any idea or had used one themselves?
