When is the best time to plant strawberry plug plants now or spring I have been looking on ebay and they is some good plants about.

I planted some runners in pots in the greenhouse 3 weeks ago,i put them in the garden yesterday,they look healthy,although they will die off when we get frost,but will sprout back into life as soon as the weather warms up in spring,DONT forget that they need to be hit by cold weather to produce flowers next season,that then become strawberries,go ahead and get them and reap the rewards next year.
