My daughters best friend has just had a baby and it weighs in at less than a kg.   OMG.   Less than a bag of sugar.   

Any positive thoughts would be most welcome.

Lots of positive thoughts for the wee one, is the hospital near to them? I expect that the baby will be in a highly specialist unit.

Hospital reasonable to get to and near to husbands work.   I am hoping that the babe will be in special care for some considerable time.   

Stay strong and fight, little one!  What a worrying time for your daughter's friend.  Hope all goes well.

How worrying for the parents,  good thoughts for them from here. For what it's worth I know a 25 year old who was born weighing less than a bag of sugar and she is and always has been a very healthy girl.

One of our church members had one around that size; she's perfectly healthy, but it was worrying for a while, and the mother was stuck in hospital almost full-time till she was old enough to go home.

Many thanks for your thoughts, the wee one is still ok.  I think the mother will be travelling to and fro from the hospital for many weeks.
