I have started a new job but there is one small flaw.  I have no natural light, also I have a fan on me all the time (it is needed believe me).
Will a spider plant survive here?
Also what else might do?  Would Christmas cacti or desert cacti?

Maidenhair fern would cope with the low light but I don't know whether it would like the fan. I assume both go off when you go home so any plant has a limited day.

The fan is on for some time as my colleague works later than me

Christmas cactus might. I've had one sitting on the kitchen counter since winter where it gets no sunlight except maybe some reflected off the walls. It looks very healthy but has not bloomed though it has a bud. It puts up with not getting watered very often, too.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.
