OH &I went out for a coffee to a GC this morning. There was a veg stall outside & he was showed me a tomato which I bought & I thought I had the name in my head but now I don't seem to :BangHead:. It's a large one, approx 3 to the kilo & I think it was something de beoufe. It has 20+ ridges/ribs. Can anyone help please? I think it may have started with a M :BangHead:.

Thank you Macmac. I do think that could be the one. On your info does it say whether it needs a long season please, just wondering if I'm to late for this year.

Hi
I'm in France and I grow coeur de boeuf (it means oxheart - or beef heart). The do grow big and surprisingly are very tasty. It's a bit late to sow them now, but if you can germinate them in some heat, the light levels of late spring will bring them on quickly. I'd give it a go.
Hope this helps
Roy

Thank you Roy. Yes I'm giving it a try. They are very tasty, even made my crispbread taste good :drunken_smilie:.
