Can anyone tell me where I can buy the above for just blue ones?   I can only find mixed.   I was looking for Black Knight but will settle for blue.   I want to plant them at the end of my plot for the bees next door.  Thankgoodness Ace is on holiday.  I know he thinks they are a weed.

I'll ask our allotment sec when I see him.  He's the buddlia expert.

They look nice on a bomb site :tongue3: Why bother with seed, you can strike a cutting so easily, just nip off a bit next time you see one you like. Another good flowering shrub/weed is eiderflower, bees love them and if you get the black leaf sort like ravens wing you get a bit more interesting plant. Same thing just nip a shoot and strike a cutting. Another pest plant you could try is  lilac, just don't keep pruning it otherwise it starts running underground. I prefer to use ceanothus as a boundery hedge, blue or white, they are stunning shrubs and once again easy to propogate.
