I would not have considered seed strips before, but with Arthritis taking over I really need to use these, Found them on the internet and would use carrots and beetroot, they say there is no thinning out which I found a bit of a chore. I will buy my brassica from garden centres and hope with the help of OH we will manage the already bought seed potatoes and onion sets.

Before I spend my money have any of you used these seed strips and what results did you get.

i have used these for carrots, beetroot and parsnips the results were quite good from all 3,although the parsnips did have 1 or 2 spaces where the seeds did not germinate,i would use them again.I believe that wilkos have some different ones in at the moment, not sure which varieties though, good luck and happy gardening

The year before last I tried seed tapes for carrots thinking I would not have to thin them. When they arrived I found that the seeds on the tape were inclusters so thinning was still needed.

No problem with them germinating but as I got them to avoid thinning I havent bothered since as they are obviously more expensive.

Hope they work out for you Queenbee.

I am a fan of Franchies seed tapes and pellets, have used their carrot and parsley tapes with great results.
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I've used tapes for spring onions as I'm not very good at sowing thinly and I thought they were quite good. I got some radish ones in the sale at the end of last year so will be trying them this year
