The edges of my plot are bordered by grass paths. The couch grass grows into the plot and I would like a way of stopping this with some edging materials.

Part of the plot has bricks as edging and also wood. Any other ideas. This has to cost as little as possible.

Couch grass is very short rooted so if you dig a trench 6" deep along the side of the paths there is nothing for the couch grass to grow into.
Dosnt come any cheeper than that

If you have an industrial estate near you, take a wander round and see if there is a fabricator or air conditioning company.  They use oooodles of galvanised tin sheet.

There may be a skip full just waiting for you to ask for some to drive into the ground round your plots.

Skip diving is infectious can't go past one me self without peering in.
