I have harvest my potatoes out of seed. Two varieties : sarpo surprise who is a cross between sarpo mira X vitelotte grande and a very old english type of potato called mr. little`s yetholm gypsy, very beautiful potato three coloured skin. The harvest was small but i have now tubers for next year. The cross came out in two types;one was normal shaped but pinkish from colour all through the potato the other one is banana shaped and has a red skin.Looking forward to next year.

Sarpo Surprise sounds great, I'd be interested to know how they do for you next year. I grew some x Sarpo Kifli and  few x Sarpo Mira this year, none with the same blight resistance although a bit hard to tell as I cut all my haulms when late blight struck earlier on. I hope a few small tubers will have survived for me to plant next year :-\

Lucky you, I think I read Mr. Little's Yetholm Gypsy very rarely set berries, so a good find for you  :) Look forward to hearing how they do for you. Are they very similar?

I've several TPS varieties, let me know if you are looking for some more varieties, something may take you fancy :)

My two seedlings from last year, Jayblu and Russian Blush don't show signs of blight tolerance (a shame but there you go), This years experimentals (PFA x Sarpo Mira) are in pots in a greenhouse  that has been struck by blight on the tomatoes. anything that survives unscathed will be graded for taste, adn if we get a good one I'll be trying to get some seedstock back to Jayb....

Sorry about the blight Chrisc, but really interested to hear if you have any resistant ones. Mine were planted too close to my tomatoes and I got a bit nervous when blight first hit and decided it best to pull the lot. I'll plant a little more carefully next year and have a possible  blight resistant bed all to themselves rather than mixed with other varieties. I did have a few in a different location which I think looked ok.
