A bought at great expense raspberry Glen Coe.  Well it is slightly darker than a normal raspberry, quite nice flavour.   But I could have had 10 ordinary raspberry canes for the price.

Apparently they do not produce suckers, do you propagate them like loganberries/blackberries from tips.

I managed to knock off the growing tip, so it has several side shoots now.  It would be nice if I could pursuade each of these to produce another plant.

Isn't Glen Coe a purple raspberry?  They have black ones in the USA and from what I understand they are as black as blackberries.

Yes, I had Glen Coe accidentally root a tip and now have a new very vigorous plant. Lovely flavour, but plant is very tall, 7 or 8 ft.

Not problems about 6 to 7 ft. I have it at the top end of my plot and there is only a path beyond.

If I can propagate from tips I will not mind the cost so much.
