They look great, fresh carrots always taste that much better

Nope, gave up on carrots this year and spent the money on more squash seeds. At least those actually grow!!!

Toilet roll tubes in 24-cell modules Antipodes...... I oculdn't grow carrots for toffee before I started doing them that way.....

These are grown in a trough of multi-purpose compost started in the greenhouse mid March, moved to a coldframe at the end of April then moved outside up on a bench to avoid the attentions of carrot root fly. I sow outside in mid May, water the drill before sowing and keep the drill watered until the seedlings emerge. I still get gaps which need resowing in the same way. Worth persevering with if you want carrots.  :)
