We have snakes around us, not poisonous but sometimes they give me a bit if a scare. I had one all last year in the greenhouse, he would come in when it was cold ans sun himself outside when not. We made him a really comfy sleeping place in the greenhouse fro over winter.

Yesterday while tidying up and moving out the bench to geta row of big pots in we found a skin.

It was totally complete right down to a face and open mouth. Really fascinating.

He was only a foot long last year but is double that now and we still see him often. He doesn't seem to be bothered by us, while sunninh himself just oustside we can walk past him when he is two feet away and he doesn't move.

I think he keeps down the furry critters in the greenhouse

I guess we should give him a name.

Me too.....I have a totally irrational fear of snakes. No problem with lizards, it must be the way they move.

I had a grass snake slough last year.  I had not realised they got so big.

I am putting lots in the compost bin and hope they will come back soon.  I find snakes etc. fascinating.  We had lots of slow worms in the garden when I was a child.
