will all this rain we are having rot the seed potatoes in the ground before they have had a chance to grow, they have only been in around 3 weeks

Unless the soil that your seed potatoes are in is under standing water..they should be fine for now...if this wet weather should last for another few weeks without decent break and now growth would appear, then I would get worried. As it is now...zing, zing..start counting your 'money'.. ;) ;D
