Rain is forecast for us coming down from the north.

We have not had a drop since 17th March and that was only a heavy shower.

We are so desparate for rain still.

Yes none here for a few weeks either. They said showers today but there is not a cloud in the sky! Hard to believe a drought in Britain!
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

We have droughts here in Britain regularly.  1976 was one. One year I think it may have been 1998 they installed a standpipe in the street.   Luckily it was never used.

I was rather hoping for more than drizzle, but the met office have already changed the heavy showers to light rain, so I will not hold my breathe.

Its very dark outside and we have just had a short hail storm with some large rain drops. Not enough to cover my patio yet but i think were going to get it soon :)

I am getting very excited indeed.  There is wetness.  The spots have joined up.  But I think it has stopped already.

We've had a few showers this afternoon, hoping for a bit more this evening.

Yes, it is exciting isn't it?

Digeroo

I bet the weed seeds are getting very excited too.

I am told (had to look it up though) that the thing outside is called a puddle :)

Here  to the West of Gateshead we had drizzle until lunch time and then the sleet snow and strong whipped up by strong NE winds began. Looks like its in for the night. We need it though, the Derwent reservoir looks a bit low but Cow Green reservoir in the Upper Tees looked quite full on Saturday when we were out walking.

Only a bit so far, I did give the lottie a good watering earlier.      :)
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

Just enough at work to make the carpark slidy.... when I got back to Swindon (I cycle to bustop, catch bus, cycle the rest of the way)we'd got that kind of light drizzle that means you can't win with waterproof trousers.... not on and you're cold and a bit damp when you get home, put them on and you're wearing a sauna..... hoping we get a bit more tomorrow... glad the big dig on plot one finished yesterday tho, plot two is nearly all tenders so I won't need it for five weeks yet...

Mr Smith

We had plenty this afternoon did the lotty a power of good and more planned for the rest of the week, and theres me sending the council a snotty email to turn the water back on, :)

Ninnyscrops.
