Bought my rations of fruit bushes from Aldi today - gooseberry, red and yellow raspberry and currants. Bit on small side - but at £2.49 for 3 - worth a gamble. Any tips on growing on? Fully understand that my jam jars wont be overflowing in summer and prepared for the long haul. Should I plant them now, wait, plant up in pots - any advice much appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

Personally, I'd get them in the ground, unless of course it is frozen solid. In that case I'd probably pot them up.
Just wondering also whether these are named varieties and if so which are they?

Unusually they are all named.

Gooseberry Hinnamaki, Red Raspberry Tulameen, Red Current Jonkheer Van Tets, sorry can't remember the rest.

Good sized plants as well.

THe Blackcurrant is Ben Lomond, there's a thornless blackberry too... got all of them except redcurrants... I've got redcurrants already... planning on putting mine on the lottie as we're allowed fruit bushes... got six packs, hoping for all 18 plants to come through (i'll pot them up on Sunday probably) plus I've got a loganberry and a tayberry to go out too so hopefully that will be a 4x5 fruit patch on maybe 7x6 metres... or  one third of one of my plots...
