According to the Alaskan Department of Fisheries and Gameing, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November.

Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer;

EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be female.

We should've known!

ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!

 ;D

And now for the boring facts.. (sorry)
In most populations both sexes grow antlers,[16] which (in the Scandinavian variety) for old males fall off in December, for young males in the early spring, and for females in the summer.
Santa comes from Finland and his reindeer are Scandinavian variety of beasts..so Rudolph is either old male that is slow to drop or young male that manages keeping up for longer.. :-X ;D

I like both versions!! ;D ;D ;D
