I've potted up about 10 packs of 6 strawberry plants for the plant sale, there are still some left on my plants though so if we sell out early you can always pop down to my plot and I will sort you  some out if you are visiting ...

Have you got a bottle of champers to hit the polytunnel with then David...oh no, it will have to be beer for you (all that lastose...) I'll have to drink all the fizz then! ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I've just come back..and I must say..it all looked very tidy indeed..
Beautiful site...lots and lots of fruit trees..plenty of flowers and friendly atmosphere.
BUT..who ever made the samosas..those were worth of trip on its own.. ;D..and the cakes.. ;D
Saddads sunflowers were still up and looking good..Debs beauuutiful shed was still up and looking good..too.. ;D
Nice to put some faces on the names.
I never got round to ask...where have all those lovely old tools come from that was on display in 'tea room'?

Must have seen you, I'm just back too....
Thanks Deb for the cordon tutorial. I will do it!

Ellen K

I'm just back too and really enjoyed it.

The gardens looked great - you see a lot even of the gardens which weren't open.

Good to meet Deb P and Saddad.

Managed to tag allong on a tour by a chappie with a big plot at the far end which was interesting.

Had 2 samosas.

And 2 trays of strawberry plants.

All good, thank you.

Glad you all had a good time, weather ok up here -was it there?
Do I remember you have another day in the spring?
It would have been nice to meet a few more A4A'ers, but I was at my Alpine meeting :-[

saddad

There will be a plant sale in May ... even if it's not for the NGS...  :)

Glad you all had a good time, I take it the weather held out.   ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

saddad

Yep... it only spat out a couple of times... and not too windy...  :)

We had a lovely time too. I brought Mum and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. The competition table was very impressive with some beautiful flower entries. We couldn`t get down to the end of the site because Mum was getting tired but the teashop was wonderful so we had a relaxing tea and gateau break.
Looking forward to next year. Thank you to all of you who worked so hard!  :)

Great to meet some fellow A4Aers.....it really is a treat to meet you all, some of you are in danger of becoming regulars! I now have a stonking dehydration headache from not drinking enough and talking too much all of yesterday! ::)

Really enjoyed the day, I won a few first prizes in the show as well, mostly for my top fruit (grown on the aforementioned condon trees) so that was a nice bonus. My son Cam came along and actually helped a lot this time instead of tolerating the day, I had him digging up the last of my potatoes and harvesting sweetcorn which kept him amused and he really enjoyed chatting to visitors as well, proud of himself for remembering names of some varieties.

The famous samosas went down a storm as usual, I went up to buy some at about 1pm and they had long gone..... :'( luckily there was some carrot cake let to cheer me up! ;D
