I grew 2 varieties and the tender and sweet early variety that we are usually harvesting now is nowhere near ready if it will come at all.  The late variety Conqurer which is due for harvest late September seems to be fairing better.  This year almost all sweetcorn on our site in Teeside seems to of stunted growth at about 3 ft and has been so for 2 months now.  Have others experienced this problem this year?

Yep! Well not so much the growth (although I have had some slow growth) but the cobs look small and poorly developed..
The earlies have faired a little better than the lates but overall it's very poor..
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

I have one type (forget name) which is very poor - out of 9 plants I think I might get 2 cobs.
Most of the plants are about 2 ft tall and stopped at that.

mines a normal growth but the cobs are now showing and not many  ( mini pop )

I have grown three varities and all but two cobs are very small. Although they seem ripe (the earlies) the cobs were very small and only part developed. The hens had a feast though ;)

I've got the same problem, plus a lot of what I planted was swamped by an 'underplanting' of oca. At least I don't have to blame myself! I imagine it's due to the drought.

Now on the other hand

I have had a fair crop see here

Now i only give them rain water i collect  as there is no tap water on site

i manure  ground when winter digging   planted in April   then when large i gave a dusting with well rotted manure

and apart from the odd can of water when i had enough   that is all i did

and now i am eating the rewards  as you can see on the picture  ;D
i don't belive death is the end
