Looks like lemons to me.. ;) ;D
Difficult to say but my 'money' is for plum/greengage. They fruit looks too big to be damson.
Looks good what ever it turns out to be..hopefully they taste nice too.
Is it on your plot?

No its at the back of garden near our pond:)

If the fruits are no larger than about 2.5cms when ripe, you've probably got a yellow cherry plum (myrobalan). They often grow in hedgerows and are spread by the birds and the ones in the hedgerows around here (Hampshire) are ripe now, although the time of ripening varies a bit.

Whatever they turn out to be, enjoy them!   ;D

Can also be called a mirabelle.  Lovely.  Comes in red as well.

Difficult to tell the scale exactly, but it looks like a yellow plum to me.  Myrobalans (cherry plums) tend to cluster like cherries and their leaves are smaller too, whereas the fruit here looks plum-sized.

Fruit looks round enough to be a "Golden Gage" (Oullins?)  :)

Well they are lovely whatever they are !

My Yellow Mirabelle is ready just now, and there are far fewer fruits on mine than normal this year.  The taste is pleasant, not quite as bland as an egg plum, but nowhere near as nice as my purple Mirabelle which is fruiting also, and with a massive crop.

All the best

I love my traditional English Cuckoo Marans and their lovely big brown eggs
