Yes, if you can give them the required light. I have a light fixture. Some of the small ones will do well in lower light though. I shall be sorting my varieties in the next week or so to decide what I am growing this year. Because my apartment faces north I can't trust windowsills but if I stick to ones about a foot high I am good on my light fixture.

I do grow mini salad greens all through the winter too, but they are just regualt assorted lettuce which I grow in a tub and clip at about three inches high. I also grow Tom Thumb lettuce under lights in the winter as it is very small.

Ohh..now then..if my memory serves me right it was one of the ebay seeds shops..
They did have both the yellow and red.
I've got tomato book that has both listed..so yes..red does exist..shall I put your name down for some fresh seed once I got some saved.. ;) ;D

Do you have a picture of those growing?

My minibel tomatoes have been colouring for a couple of days, and are datk orange now. They're on the sunny south side of the house, so that's maybe why. The tigerella at the back are still resolutely green, even though I expected them to be the earliest.

I will definitely grow these dwarf types again - they seem very sturdy little things - no wilting when it's hot and dry.

Probably not... light intensity is really important in tomatoes...

My first ripe tomato came off a Garden Pearl yesterday.... there's a pair of them in each of two long thin self-watering planters with a pair of marigolds either side...

I have to say what superb plants they look, really strong growing with beautiful rugose leaves. Most of mine are around 2-21/2' high. They were in a greenhouse but with a lack of space they are growing in pots in a temporary plastic type greenhouse. Quite a few fruits set although the ups and downs of temperature has hampered pollination a bit. I think these are going to become so popular for container growing. Really looking forward to the first ripe fruits...

I'm also growing Orange Tree, Lime Green Salad, New Big Dwarf,  Demidov, maybe a couple more I've forgotten.

For the little types, Halms Gelbe, Sweet and Neat, Micro Gemma, Mohamed.
I love them, so compact.

Tinest Toes has hairs on its stems and flowers Tiny Toes does not.

Is anyone growing Totem? They're on my grow list each year.

I haven't grown Totem for several years. I'm afraid it didn't have a huge wow factor for me, though I suspect the lack of sunshine here may not have helped the flavour.

Super pictures Jayb, they are really tying hard to confuse us these toms don't you think. We should call therm Little Monkies I think LOL
