I planted some parsnip seed mid March (fresh seed which was harvested last Autumn by an allotment neighbour who always saves his own) between a row of peas.  The parsnip seed didn't germinate although it was watered.  But it noticed this afternoon that the parsnip seed is now germinating - not just the odd seedling but the whole row, probably because we've had a lot of rain over the past week or so.  Is it worth leaving or is it too late for it to give a crop?

Leave them alone, they will be fine in my opinion :)

I have only just sown some now. They always catch up over the autumn.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Many thanks for the advice - have grown most things but not parsnips.
