Allotments 4 All

The eight-year old daughter of some (non gardening) neighbours wants a pond.

"She's been on the internet and chosen the fish and plants she's going to have," her father told me.

"I expect it will be Daddy who skims off the duckweed every day in summer though,"  I said.

"Oh," he said, very seriously "She's not having duckweed."
