Allotments 4 All

now I know my garden is too large- I have resorted to some help for 4 hours a week and he works hard for his money. But did he have to weed out the row containing my salsify?

I had some help in the house - she was really keen to do gardening as well, so sometimes we worked together on my allotment. I had to go away for a bit, so I asked her to do a bit of weeding and grass trimming.

When I came back, she had dug up all my strawberries (carefully collected named varieties) and put them on the compost heap where they were brown and crisp.

Some misunderstanding, of course, but I still have no idea what I said to give her the impression that I wanted my strawberry bed destroyed.
