Hello, not sure where to post this, but here goes,

In the winter, our fuschia died, but began to give up shoots, two of which were definately fuschias, and three which we think are weeds, but not sure which or what.

Rosebay Willowherb, most definitely a plant, and most definitely a weed (certainly picture 1, you'll have to decide if the others are the same)

Thanks for that, they have now been 'dealt with' ;)

RBW was my first guess.  Hawk moths love the stuff I believe.

Actually, a very pretty flowering plant, I leave some of mine in the borders

It does rather too well on my plot, so I exterminate it without mercy.

I like to leave a patch in the hope of attracting hawk moths - it's quite easy pulling up bits you don't want.
There's supposed to be a stunning white version but have never seen.

An older gentleman patient who came form Manchester told me how he thought that rose Bay Willow herb was a lovely flower when he first saw it and picked a bunch to take home for his mum! :)

I've seen the white version... a garden in Allestree (North Derby) in the Yellow Book has it.. it is really stunning...  :)
