Can anybody  please tell the name  of  the  4 ft rods  with a `u` shape at one end,  that are inserted in the ground to hold  Netting  up. I have  been told  they are  ROAD ? ? ?  but have forgotten the last word and the chap who told me, is away on Holiday for  2 weeks.
Any  Ideas of the  last word --have tried various combinations to no avail.

pntalbot,
I think you mean fencing pins. Try this link to see if they are the ones.

Got them back now to put some tread on them

Thanks  Landimad  thats  the  ones--- £32.99  for  `10` with  Screwfix, would have been interested  if they  had been cheaper, but  I`m  sure  on  my  Allotment they  would  go  missing.

Try looking in a builders merchant.  I'm sure I bought some much cheaper than that last year.  Yes, a quick google shows that screwfix are having a laugh on this one.  Face it, they don't need to be painted do they?

You could always try your local agricultural/ tut auction house

The one near us often has them in bundles of about 30 and they go for about a fiver the lot
