Hi, I am thinking abut putting an apple tree on my allotment, and have been looking at the variety "Redlove" which Dobies are advertising and seems to fit all my requirements. Has anybody got on views on this variety or can you suggest another one I should consider. I don't have a huge amount of space so think I could only have one on my plot, though there are other apple trees a few plots up,so I think I will be alright as far as pollination is concerned. Thanks if you can advise.  :-* busy)_lizzie

Hmm..is that the new red fleshed variety? :-\ I was tempted with that variety for a while..but as it is so new, there is no opinions available yet as to what the fruit really taste like. They look wonderful but I didn't want to spend that amount of money and time growing it to find it a dissapointment.
But if you go for it I'll be waiting with interest what you think of it. Go on.. ;)

Did you see that they are doing a special until tomorrow night? buy any 2 fruit trees and get the redlove free.

here's the blurb from their email -

Of course you´ve heard about Redlove, the unique red-fleshed apple and the healthiest compact apple tree you can grow. The taste and texture can be likened to a Cox, and it boasts the perfect balance of sweet and sharp plus an irresistible berry flavour that surpasses any we've ever tried! Now you can get this unique apple tree FREE when you buy any 2 fruit trees this week only! This is strictly a web only offer and must end at midnight on Monday 21st March so don´t miss out.
